Order ProcessIn Stock Order
In stock items vary. We have access to about 400 saddles in stock, but with so many options available, it is not possible to have every model and/or seat size / tooling design in stock. We try our best to keep a large variety on hand for you to choose from. Contacting us is a great first step to find out what's available.
Once we have located an item that suits your and your horse's needs, please allow up to 3 business days to process your order. Once your item is ready for shipment, you will receive an email to keep you in the loop on your shipping status. Check that tracking number frequently to see possible updates of arrival times.
Special Order
If we do not have what you need, we can order it in for you. It takes about 2-4 months to finish your saddle,
Depending on the volume of orders received prior to yours. We work hard on building your desired dream saddle as quickly as possible, but please keep in mind that it is a craft and takes time for completion.
Fast Track Service
This service puts your Special Order to the front of the production line for an upcharge of $125. Please inquire about this option, it's not always possible to do and has to be confirmed by Headquarters first. We will not charge you this fee if it is not possible.
Return PolicyChange of mind returns
Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC accepts change of mind returns within 14 days on all in-stock merchandise connected to a restocking fee of $100. Credit Card fees are not refundable.
The 14 day period begins when you receive the item either by mail or in person and ends on the 14th day in which you have had possession of the items.
Please return the product on day 14 and provide us with tracking information via email to: Contact@ComfortFitSaddleShop.com
Excluded are all special order items as well as items that have been reduced in price (such as demonstration saddles and clearance or used saddles). All reduced merchandise is a final sale.
Saddles and tack have to be returned in like-new condition. They must be clean, and free of dirt and hair.
Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee of $75 for saddles and $25 for tack, in case the products are soiled.
Shall the returned products be returned damaged or in a unmerchantable fashion, Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC reserves the right to retain all or a portion of your payment as it sees appropriate (depreciation value). A prior quote cannot be given without us having the saddle or tack in hand to assess.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Other Returns
Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC will accept product returns and provide you with repair, an repairs, exchange, store credit or refund when:
The product is faulty or is not of merchantable quality or The product is not fit for its intended purpose.
If you cannot present your Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC online invoice or another acceptable proof of purchase, we reserves the right not to offer repairs, exchange, store credit or refund.
The determination whether or not a product is faulty, is solely up to Comfort Fit Saddle Shop, LLC and/or DP Saddlery LP. We reserves the right to determine what to offer to make up for a faulty product. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Shipping costsShipping costs vary, depending on the style of saddle you are ordering and your location. If you would like to know your shipping costs ahead of time, please send an Email request to Contact@ComfortFitSaddleShop.com and provide us with your complete mail-to address as well as which saddle you are interested in, and we will send you a quote. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Payment optionsWe accept all major credit cards, PayPal, checks and cash. When paying with a check, please understand that your items will not ship out until your check has cleared. If you're not registered with PayPal, PayPal will put a temporary hold on your payment that usually clears within 24 hours. You can still use PayPal. In any case, please discuss your options with us personally. We enjoy giving personal customer service and value our customer satisfaction.
Beginning May 7th, 2019, PayPal will not refund PayPal fees to us anymore when you return a product. Therefore, make note that PayPal fees are no longer refundable and will be deducted from your refund.
Payment plans (layaway)
Payment plans are available at 0% interest. Automatic billing is set up via a contract and your credit/debit card will be charged accordingly. There is a one time office fee of $50 to begin your payment plan that is non-refundable.
We will work within your budget to create a monthly payment you can afford. A 25% down-payment is required to start your payment plan.
You can also opt to send us a check once per month or pay cash, whichever you prefer. Your merchandise will be held for you until payment is complete. We do not ship out items that are not fully paid.
TaxesSales taxes are charged in Alabama and Wisconsin as well as at tradeshows. They are based on your local sales and use tax.
Demonstration saddles, Clearance etc.We offer a 14 day trial period in which you can ride the saddle and see if it's going to be the right fit for you and your horse. Please see our return policies for more information.
We do not keep demonstration saddles on hand that can be shipped out to ride in. We have too many models, sizes and variations so this is simply not possible for us. If we do have a previously ridden in model in stock you can opt to purchase it at a reduced price. Any item marked as clearance is a final sale and cannot be returned.
Panel Maintenance
Regular saddle maintenance is a must. Not only does your leather need appropriate care and storage, but your panels do, too.
Wool-flocked saddles require maintenance! For most horses, once or twice a year is a good place to start, but it does depend on how often and how long you ride, and on your horse's unique needs.
Wool won’t last forever. You will likely need to do a full wool replacement at some point, maybe even every few years. By using synthetic wool-flocking, DP Saddlery has significantly extended the longevity of the material, so you don't have to reflock as often. You also want to keep a wool flocked saddle for one horse only. Sharing a saddle with wool-flocked panels means that other horses are not having a custom fit, and their bodies can change the wool arrangement for the horse that it was designed for. Wool flocking may also absorb sweat and moisture over time. Wool that has soaked up moisture can easily be replaced. You can delay this replacement with absorbent saddle pads, like sheepskin. Store saddles in a clean and dry place. No musty and damp tack rooms, please.
Speak to a certified saddle fitter in your area to determine your custom needs for maintenance. DP Saddlery LP and/or Comfort Fit Saddle Shop LLC is not responsible for damages caused by improperly maintained wool flocking.
Foam panels will also require maintenance, although significantly less than wool-flocked panels. Monitor the panels closely, and make note if they start to compress or get hard. If that is the case, contact us to order replacement panels (additional cost!).

1.Payment Options
Currently Comfort Fit Saddle Shop LLC accepts Paypal payments, which can be Credit/Debit Card payments. You can also pay cash or with a check mailed to us, however, check payments won't ship until your check has cleared. All store prices are in United States dollars and prices charged to overseas-based credit cards are according to the exchange rate on the day of shipment or at the time of order.
2.Export Restrictions
At the moment, Comfort Fit Saddle Shop LLC only ships to United States delivery addresses. If you live outside the United states, please contact us at contact@dp-saddlery.com so we can arrange shipping to your country. All duties, tax and import fees are your own responsibility and will not be paid for by Comfort Fit Saddle Shop LLC.
3.Cancelled/Declined Orders
Your order can be changed or cancelled at any time before your order is shipped. Contact us to arrange cancellation of your order. Special order items cannot be cancelled, as the products were made specifically to your instruction and most likely cannot be resold by us. All special orders require a 50% down-payment to cover our cost and this down-payment is non-refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel an order and/or to place a stop on online orders if:
(a) your order is not accepted at the nominated delivery address; or
(b) we believe (or reasonably suspect) that your order is fraudulent or you have otherwise breached these Web Site terms and conditions
(c) item went out of stock and can't be produced anymore or has faults. This can happen when items were also shown at events and shows, and have sold before the store's inventory was updated.
4.Tax Invoices
Comfort Fit Saddle Shop LLC will email you a tax invoice when payment is processed, so you can reprint the email should you require a hard copy of the invoice.
5.Change of mind returns

Refunds will be issued using your original payment method.
